Reprint of the rare 1933 memoir by Fred Bagnall. Bagnall was an original member of the 14th Canadian Infantry Battalion (RMR), and his memoir gives a graphic description of life at Valcartier, the battles of Second Ypres, Festubert and Mount Sorrel, where he lost a limb. It also recounts his hospital experience as an amputee in England and Canada. A very moving memoir.
