The story of a University of Toronto student who enlisted in the Canadian Field Artillery, went overseas in 1916 and finally to France in time for the Battle of Vimy Ridge. MacPherson won the Military Medal at Passchendaele, and was commissioned in 1918. He returned to Canada after participating in the major battles of 1918. His brothers also served, one was killed with the PPCLI in August 1918.
